Meet Deek Tocker

Ever since I was little I knew I wanted to be a builder. When I was 10 years old my parents did an extension on the farm they lived at. The builders made me feel like I was part of the team and loved it straight away. I was impressed by how big everything was and how the guys made something from scratch.

So when I finished high school, I worked at Bunnings for two years to get more knowledge about the materials and building. After this experience I started my apprenticeship with Shane Taylor Construction in Taupo. I stayed with Shane Taylor Construction for over seven years.

But after seven years it was time for me to start my own business. So in 2006 I founded DDCBOP Construction, named after my partner Darelle and myself.

Ever since DDCBOP Construction was founded, we have been improving and our team has been growing. From working on my own to now a team of seven great builders and office staff, it has been an amazing journey so far!

Introduction

We will get in contact with you for a meeting. Listening to your ideas and discussing your vision will be the foundation of creating the dream home you have in mind. We want to know what your vision is on the project and what you would like to achieve.

Putting your ideas into plans

After our first meeting, we have gathered enough information to analyze your needs and customize a plan that suits you and your budget. We will  establish a package that fits and works for you!

Validation

We will evaluate the first plans we made and adapt to what you want. From here we can work out what your project will cost and compare this to your budget. Once we have a full set of detailed plans and specifications, the paperwork is signed. It will now  be time to submit your plans to council for building consent approval.

Start the build

Once the building consent has been obtained and the plans are ready, it is time to start building your dream home! During the building stage we will keep you up to date as much as possible. We are proud of our 24/7 online based, client friendly project management software Buildertrend. This will keep you up to date instantly. But most important is the contact between you as the client and us as the builders. Our project managers and  myself will keep you informed all the way!

Finish

Your renovation/build is finished, exciting times! We will finish off those final jobs and any last-minute requests that you might have as soon as possible.Handing over a project is such a rewarding stage for us!

Your completed project!

Once your dream has become a reality you will be left with a clean and tidy property. We will ensure all paper work is signed off and you have the code of compliance (this is important for future sale). Once this is all done we leave you to relax and enjoy your new dream house!
